The ultimate function of gearbox and frequency converter on transmission equipment is to reduce the speed. However, gearbox is actually a power transmission mechanism, which does not generate power itself. Its function is to reduce the rotation number of motor to the desired rotation number by using different gear sizes and speed converters, obtaining a mechanism with larger torque.
Among the mechanisms used to transmit power and motion, harmonic gearbox is widely used. It can be found in almost all kinds of mechanical transmission systems, such as ships, automobiles, locomotives, heavy-duty machines and tools for construction. The principle of bicycle is similar to that of gearbox. From the processing tools and automatic production equipment used in the machinery industry to the common household appliances, clocks and watches in daily life, its application can be found from the transmission of large power to the transmission of small load and accurate angle. In industrial applications, the gearbox has the functions of reducing speed and increasing torque. Therefore, it is widely used in speed and torque conversion equipment. For example, the elevator we take every day uses the worm gear reducer.
(1) It can reduce speed while increasing output torque. Torque output ratio is motor output multiplied by reduction ratio. It should be noted that torque output should not exceed the rated torque of reducer.
(2) It can reduce the inertia of the load while decelerating. The reduction of inertia is the square of the reduction ratio.
Harmonic gearbox is a relatively precise machine. The purpose of using it is to reduce the speed and increase the torque. There are many kinds and different models with different uses. According to the transmission type, they can be divided into gear reducers, worm reducers and planetary gear reducers. According to the different transmission stages, they can be divided into single-stage and multi-stage reducers. According to the gear shapes, they can be divided into cylindrical gear reducers, conical gear reducers and conical-cylindrical gear reducers. According to the arrangement of transmission, they can be divided into expansion type, shunt type and coaxial type reducers.
Harmonic gearbox is generally used for transmission equipment with low speed and high torque. It achieves the purpose of speed reduction by inputting the power of motor, internal combustion engine or other high-speed operation into the gear with fewer teeth on the input shaft of speed reducer, and then engaging the gear with fewer teeth with the big gear on the output shaft. Ordinary speed reducers also have several pairs of gears with the same principle to achieve the ideal speed reduction effect. The ratio of the teeth number of large and small gears is the transmission ratio.
